For my birthday we went out for dinner at a new indian restaurant. How good is butter chicken...
It was so fun! after that we went back to my house for cookie dough ice cream cake and cupcakes. Lets just say I have never been so full in my entire life. For my birthday my mom took me to get manicures and I got the double wrapped pandora bracelet I have been drooling over.. and my friends really spoiled me! great b day love you all :)

Halloween.

Loved making candy apples with the girls. Very messy but so worth it! delicious!

Halloween was alot of fun!
On saturday night, alana and I decided to lay low and study. In the effort of being good students and missing out on halloween fun we decided to trek all the way to the U of A. I guess we figured it would be a better study environment. When we get there we discover all buildings are closed except for the basement in cameron library which is over 100 degrees and there wasnt one SINGLE desk. Finally we find a really uncomfortable table in some cafeteria in CAB with no plug ins may i add. It was SOOO grosse how can people focus in such a dirty surrounding?... happy we peaced out before the mice made an appearance...
ANWYAYS we ended up back at alanas and has a solid sesh, char and alex came over= fun!

After that we decorated my house and handed out candy to all of the kiddies. SUCH cute costumes. can you believe we ran out of candy at 6 pm.. We must have has at least 250 trick or treaters. No lie. T town is where the kids be at.
Later we watched a zombie tv show and studied!

Other exciting news= I got my stethoscope today! PINK. After tomorrow I can officially check a patients vital signs, blood pressure and heart rate yayyy

life is busybusybusy. 2 more midterms to go! then finals...
First bed bath tomorrow. yikes
this weekend consisted of-- alexs cabin! eco cafe... bella and libby... and of course monopoly!!!

On saturday I went to my friend sarah's house for a nursing dinner party! so fun. formal dress, catch phrase, and appies! oh and desserts, lots of them.

AND later buffalo to see the girls can hear us. GOOD!
NOW: studying microbiology... can you tell I have lost motivation? Going to the U with Lana after dinner. then.. hot tub? yes please.

advice to live by.

"If a man wants you, nothing can keep him away. If he doesn't want you, nothing can make him stay. Stop making excuses for a man and his behavior. Allow your intuition (or spirit) to save you from heartache. Stop trying to change yourself for a relationship that's not meant to be. Slower is better. Never live your life for a man before you find what makes you truly happy. If a relationship ends because the man was not treating you as you deserve then heck no, you can't "be friends". A friend wouldn't mistreat a friend. Don't settle. If you feel like he is stringing you along, then he probably is. Don't stay because you think "it will get better." You'll be mad at yourself a year later for staying when things are not better. The only person you can control in a relationship is you. Avoid men who've got a bunch of children by a bunch of different women. He didn't marry them when he got them pregnant, why would he treat you any differently? Always have your own set of friends separate from his. Maintain boundaries in how a guy treats you. If something bothers you, speak up. Never let a man know everything. He will use it against you later. You cannot change a man's behavior. Change comes from within. Don't EVER make him feel he is more important than you are... even if he has more education or in a better job. Do not make him into a quasi-god. He is a man, nothing more nothing less. Never let a man define who you are. Never borrow someone else's man. If he cheated with you, he'll cheat on you. A man will only treat you the way you ALLOW him to treat you. All men are NOT dogs. You should not be the one doing all the bending... compromise is two way street. You need time to heal between relationships... there is nothing cute about baggage... Deal with your issues before pursuing a new relationship. You should never look for someone to COMPLETE you... a relationship consists of two WHOLE individuals... look for someone complimentary... not supplementary. Dating is fun... even if he doesn't turn out to be Mr. Right. Make him miss you sometimes... when a man always knows where you are, and you're always readily available to him - he takes it for granted. Never move into his mother's house. Never co-sign for a man. Don't fully commit to a man who doesn't give you everything that you need. Keep him in your radar but get to know others. They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them and an entire lifetime to forget them."

Elder Fairbanks!

Today my friend austin fairbanks got his mission call to arizona, las vegas west mission!!! He leaves on December 8th 2010!
I was with Lindsay and Jordan when austin told us the news! It is the exact mission that jordan served so of course he was just stoked
After we watched jersey shore we went to tim hortons, picked up a pack of timbit donuts and off to austins house we went!
His family is sooo cute. Right when you walk in their house they have everyone's baptism pics framed and a whole wall of pictures of austins brother connor who is also on a mission.
After talking a bit and witnessing what seemed to be the craziest dog tricks (austin is the dog whisperer i swear...) we left, but not before his mom had time to catch us at the door for a group photo ahah. "I take pictures of everything" she says.
I am so excited for him!
